Air quality for your location, on the wall
Pick a location and a scale, and the current air quality index with its main pollutants holds the screen, refreshed on its own.
About this app
This app reports the current air-quality index alongside key pollutants, color-coded from good to hazardous. Search for a city, choose the European (EAQI) or US (AQI) scale, and pick a light or dark theme; the readings refresh on their own throughout the day. It suits building lobbies, gyms, clinics and any workplace where indoor or outdoor air matters.
Why teams choose this app
- The number people reach for their phone to check sits on the wall
- One location across many screens costs a single fetch
- Pairs with the weather app, because the data comes from the same source
What it does
European or US scale
Both travel in the data and you choose which is shown. For a European audience the European scale is the one people recognise.
Pollutants beside the index
The values behind the headline number are shown too, so it is clear whether particulates or ozone are spoiling the day.
Any location
You set the place itself rather than the nearest city, which matters for a screen outside the centre.
Where it fits
A school
A hall screen shows whether it is a day for outdoor break, before anyone decides.
A clinic
For patients with respiratory trouble, the figure that concerns them directly, in the waiting room.
A gym
Beside the class timetable, the number that decides whether a run happens outdoors or in.
How to set it up
Pick the location
Set the place the reading is for.
Pick the scale
European or US, depending on which one your audience reads.
Choose a theme and publish
Match the look to the rest of the screen, then publish.
Requirements and limitations

- Data source
- Readings come from the Open-Meteo air quality service, the same source the weather app uses.
- Network
- A connection is needed to fetch new readings.
- Refresh
- Refreshed every fifteen minutes.
- Offline behavior
- The last fetched readings stay on screen until the connection returns.
- Limitations
- It shows modelled outdoor air for the chosen location. It does not measure the air in the room and does not replace a sensor.
