How each one works

Change a screen from wherever you are

Content management happens in a browser. Edit a configured app or media assignment and the service creates a new snapshot for connected players. The operator does not have to visit the television to replace a file or type a new notice.

In practice: A café updates a price in the Menu board source. The connected screens using that app instance receive the refreshed configuration.

Working hours for the whole screen

Set the screen to always on, a weekly schedule or special-date hours. Outside the active window the player shows black standby. This controls the whole screen; it does not switch individual playlist items, activate campaigns by date or change breakfast into lunch automatically.

In practice: An office display follows weekday opening hours and stays in black standby when the building is closed.

43 apps, no code

Menus, price lists, weather, exchange rates, news, calendars, social feeds, QR codes, countdowns, PDF and PowerPoint, Google Sheets and Power BI each have a purpose-built app. Choose one, review its requirements, configure the supported source and add the app instance to a screen.

In practice: A gym puts its class timetable on screen straight from the Google Sheet the manager already maintains. Change the sheet, the screen follows.

Screens that survive the network

The player persists its last snapshot and prefetches supported media. Network-only apps are skipped when connectivity is unavailable, so a deployment should test the exact mix of media and apps rather than assume every item behaves identically offline.

In practice: A waiting-room operator uses downloaded media for essential instructions and treats live web content as optional during an outage.

An ordered content rotation

A screen can rotate media, playlists and app instances. Items have an order, an enabled state and a duration where applicable. Current SignageWall does not provide an arbitrary multi-zone canvas, so each item should work clearly as its own screen view.

In practice: A reception screen rotates a welcome notice, today’s public calendar and local weather as separate full-screen items.

Managing thirty screens is not managing thirty devices

The same existing content can be assigned to multiple explicitly selected screens. The dashboard reports online or offline state, last seen and the paired device profile. Current SignageWall does not save targeting groups by city, room or screen type.

In practice: An operator selects three reception screens, assigns the same approved notice and then checks the connection state of each paired device.

Use prepared brand assets and app styling

Upload approved images and video, and use the styling controls supported by each app. SignageWall does not currently provide a global brand kit, white-label system or one control that forces every app to share the same type and colors.

In practice: A hotel prepares approved welcome artwork and selects matching colors where the chosen Text and Menu apps expose them.

Runs on what you already own

Player builds support Android, Windows, macOS and Linux. SignageWall does not resell screens or player devices, so the hardware choice remains yours. Check operating hours, brightness, mounting, ventilation and the player’s ability to recover after power loss before deployment.

In practice: A waiting room checks whether its existing display suits the viewing distance and pairs it with a compatible player device.

Know whether a paired device is present

The dashboard exposes online or offline state, last seen and the paired device profile. The player persists its last snapshot locally. These signals help an operator diagnose delivery health, but they are not proof-of-play or evidence that somebody viewed the screen.

In practice: An operator sees that one reception player is offline and uses its last-seen time to decide whether somebody on site should check power and network.
