Digital signage for schools and universities

A school or university screen is useful when content comes from a source that staff already maintain. A concise notice can be written in the Text app. Events can come from Google Calendar. A selected Google Sheets range can become a table or one prominent value. PDF accepts an uploaded file, while Google Slides and PowerPoint read a presentation from a connected account, render its slides as images and loop them on screen.

SignageWall is not a student information system, class-timetable engine or integration with a school administration platform. Where such a system publishes a public page that permits iframe embedding, the Web page app may technically display it, but that is not a purpose-built connector and the source may refuse framing. A timetable already maintained in a workbook can be shown by explicitly selecting a Google Sheets range. In either case, the institution remains responsible for source accuracy and ensuring that no personal information reaches a public display.

The Alert app is a high-contrast message that can run from local configuration. It is an ordinary screen or playlist item; it does not automatically interrupt every device and it does not replace a certified warning system, public address system or evacuation procedure. This page therefore concentrates on everyday information. For an institution evaluating screens, the key question is not how many messages can fit. It is who owns each source and how staff verify that the displayed content is still correct.
